Hanging over the ocean in several parts of Northern California are beautiful and majestic trees called 'Monterey Pines'  These trees are wonderful that seem to defy gravity in most cases, growing out of bedrock that jet out over high cliffs.  A favorite of pattern created by Miriam Joy this pattern really brings out nature on gourd art and other forms of artwork!
